Flypaper sells e-learning service, preps for new program
Written on June 26, 2008
Flypaper Studio Inc. announced this week it has sold the electronic learning portion of its business in preparation to move forward with a new program and concentrate on the development of its core software.
Flypaper sold its e-learning unit to Phoenix-based GMarie Group, a corporate training developer. The amount of the sale, which took effect June 23, was not disclosed.
Phoenix-based Flypaper now moves out of e-learning, which has been part of its business since its predecessor, Interactive Alchemy, started. Flypaper instead will focus on developing software that allows users to create multimedia story presentations for multiple uses including Web-based applications.
The sale involves 17 employees who will move to GMarie, increasing that company's total number of employees to 25.
GMarie also will become the first Flypaper Producer Partner under a new program Flypaper is launching later this summer.
